Al Romaihi on the double again
Manama : Young Bahraini athlete Mayoof Al Romaihi secured another double this season after winning the first and second youth contests held as part of Bahrain National Day Showjumping Championship which took place yesterday.
In the first contest, Al Romaihi made no fault en route to his victory, clocking 28.56 seconds, while Hussain Asghar followed him in second place at a time of 29.26 seconds.
Al Romaihi entered the competition riding two different horses, and he achieved the last podium place, clocking this time 29.43 seconds.
Jameela Hassid came fourth, posting a time of 35.16 seconds. In the second event, Al Romaihi stormed to victory with no faults too, completing the contest at 34.83 seconds.
Georgia Sims (43.38 seconds) came second, leaving third place to Mustafa Dadallah (47.70 seconds). Chris Rodney was fourth, recording a time of 40.06 seconds.
