A’Ali Disability Complex: 70pc works completed
Manama : One of the biggest and the most specialised complexes for the differently abled people in the Middle East, the Comprehensive Disability Complex in A’Ali, is nearing completion, said a top Works Ministry official.
Works Affairs Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ahmed Al Khayyat said the $23 million project, capable of accommodating 450 persons and 160 administrative persons in the main building, is now more than 70 per cent completed.
The project, funded by Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development, is expecting completion in April 2018.
“It will help tackling the needs of people with special needs and providing them with the chance to improve their abilities and engage in the community,” said Al Khayyat during a visit to the complex.
