Government to firmly tackle terrorism: Premier

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday said that Bahrain will always remain in safe and good hands, thanks to the wisdom of its Leadership, the high awareness of its people and the efficiency of its security and military authorities. HRH Prime Minister made the statements while receiving the Royal Family members at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

“The government will never remain cross-handed, nor will it deal with terrorism in a reactionary manner, but will carry on its measures that besiege terrorism, dry up its funding resources and prevent it from implementing its malicious schemes,” HRH Premier affirmed “Bahrain has faced challenges with determination and succeeded in overcoming them by the strong will of its Leadership and people. Let it be known to those with hidden expansionist ambitions, and supporters of acts aimed at creating problems and subverting security and stability in the region that their attempts have been confronted by national unity and security vigilance, and are doomed to fail,” HRH Premier said. 

HRH Premier emphasised that terrorism, no matter how strong it becomes, the law is stronger than it, and the group that has adopted sabotage and treachery will not be able to undermine the security and stability of the country. .

Meanwhile, the Shura Council expressed full support for the legal measures taken to protect the security and stability of the Kingdom and to confront terrorist acts and plots aimed at harming national interests and achievements.  

The Council of Representatives also strongly condemned the terrorist acts and criminal plots targeting the nation, the citizens and residents, and the assassination attempt on the BDF chief.
