BCCI polls on March 10
Manama : The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) elections will be held on March 10 at Isa Cultural Center, Juffair to choose its new board of directors, a press release received here said.
“The voting to the 29th session of BCCI board will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m,” said BCCI Chairman Khalid Al Moayed.
The elections will be the largest-ever this time.
Since the number of businesses registered at BCCI has increased dramatically, it is expected that the number of voters this time will also be significantly higher. According to a source, the number of eligible voters this time will be 60,000, well over the number of voters in the last election.
“The elections will be held in accordance with Article No. (59) of the executive regulation of the Chamber’s bylaw issued by order No. (156) for the year 2013,” he said.
Al Moayed predicted a successful and smooth election and affirmed that the elections committee formed by Order No. (72) for the year 2017 will guarantee a transparent and fair elections process.
