PM calls for intense coordination in GCC

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister yesterday affirmed that development in the region call for intense coordination among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to “ensure the security of the region and to support the GCC progress and Arab solidarity.”

This came during a meeting of HRH the Prime Minister with Shaikh Nasser Al Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the State of Kuwait, at Riffa Palace, yesterday. 

“The deep-rooted strong brotherly bonds have paved the bilateral cooperation horizons between our two countries across the various fields and levels,” His Royal Highness told Shaikh Nasser reminiscing with appreciation and acknowledgement the stances of Kuwait led by the Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jabir Al Sabah. 

Prince Khalifa also emphasized that Bahrain looks at its relations with Kuwait from a special perspective.

“Bahrain’s relations with Kuwait stand on firm foundations making it a  glittering example of bilateral ties in the region,” stressed HRH the Premier while praising the role of the Amir of Kuwait in advancing the GCC march. 

During the meeting, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence explored various topics pertaining to the Bahraini-Kuwaiti cooperation as well as coordination of stances. 

The Kuwaiti Deputy Premier and Defence Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister for his tremendous attention to strengthening and promoting the Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties to vast cooperation in various fields.
