An app to manage all your biz deals
Manama : Bahrain’s Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) is all set to come up with a brand new mobile application that would make life easier for the businessmen in Kingdom.
“It will be released soon,” iGA Acting Vice CE of eTransformation, Dr Zakareya Ahmed AlKhaja told DT News adding: “It encapsulates all the services required by the business owners.”
Elaborating further, he said: “For example, the service for the renewal of CR will be available in the app. Other services included are Tamkeen services, LMRA services, tender board services and maybe even
more.”
“So we want to serve the business community with this app,” he said stressing that this will also “encourage investment to Bahrain.”
When asked about the feasibility of the project, he said: “We find Mobile apps to be fascinating, everyone is using apps. People don’t have the time to use a laptop or a desktop, they want the convenience of a mobile app.”
Explaining, he further pointed out the success of the recently released app for ‘Government directory’. “This application provides a list of Government Entities that includes contact numbers, social media accounts and an interactive map of the entities.”
The app, Dr AlKhaja said, also enables users to search for a specific Government entity or its employees from director level and above. “It also has the facility of calling, emailing, adding a contact to phone address book and to mark it as a favourite.”
Looking ahead, he said the authority will continue developing more apps. “We have brought many new apps of late, another good example is Sehati.”
Sehati, Dr AlKhaja said, allows users access to health care services, which includes finding a doctor, medicines, get an appointment or even interact with a doctor.
“It also lists authorised pharmacies and healthcare product shops and more,” he said.
