Desert Beats Friday at Bahrain International Circuit
Manama : The long wait is over for music lovers as the highly anticipated Desert Beats music festival takes place today at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in Sakhir.
The star-studded event is set to feature some of the biggest names in the music industry as well as a selection of top local talent.
The performers include icons Kool & The Gang and UB40, a Latin tribute to Michael Jackson called Unity, renowned buskers Youri Menna and Adam Kadabra, homegrown talents Majaz and Mo Zowayed, and Tom Abelis and DJ Gustavito, who will be opening the show at 2pm.
The performances will go all the way into the night, ensuring a full fun day out for the family.
Majaz will be next on stage at 3.30pm, followed at 4.30pm by Youri Menna. At 5.45pm, it will be Mo Zowayed performing, after which Unity will be entertaining the crowd with their take on some of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits.
Adam Kadabra will then have the first of two sets at 7.45pm, after which UB40 are on at 8pm.
Adam Kadabra then returns for his second set at 9pm, and then the final performance of the day at 9.30pm brings Kool & The Gang to the stage.
Tickets cost BD20 for adults and BD10 for those less than 15 years old, while children aged seven and below can get in for free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
