Bahrain Indian School (BIS) has literally redefined education since its inception. The school with the hard work, competence and dedication to achieve its aims, provide ample facility for students to not only pursue academic excellence but also explore their co-scholastic potential. Started in 2014 with 40 students and presently cater to over 600 students from Pre- KG to Grade VIII. 

The student teachers ratio is 1:10 which helps in giving individual attention to the students thereby helping them in academics. To support the academics, BIS has highly qualified & dedicated staff. Emphasis is laid on personality development, life skills and various co-curricular activities along with balanced focused on curricular aspects as well. The school believes in providing stress-free environment thereby BIS follows ‘No Homework Policy’ till grade IV. 

Following are the differentiated as well as paramount highlighting aspects of BIS which added  feathers to its cap:

    Students are provided with individual lockers so as to lessen the weight of carrying heavy bags.

    Regular reinforcement sessions help in re-explanation / revision of the taught concepts and clarification of doubts.

    Remedial sessions are there for students who need an extra helping hand in some subjects.

    Enrichment sessions help in expanding the knowledge of students along with broadening the analytical thinking of students.

    English Language Lab helps in enhancing the language skills as it provides the platform to listen to the original speakers of British/ American descent. To add on, it also helps students to solve various grammar related exercises thus helping them in recapitulating the taught concept. 

    Well-equipped separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs which give students the practical learning of the theoretical concepts.

    Well planned Social Science lab which is equipped with the best quality and most extensive range of globes, display equipment, widest range of charts and maps for Social Science and Geography

    Mathematics lab where students explore patterns and ideas. Various games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning material. The materials are meant to explore the world of mathematics, to discover, to learn and to develop an interest in mathematics. 

    Computer Lab which provides students practical knowledge along with the application of the learnt concepts.

    Regular life skills sessions which help in inculcating the moral values and team building skills. It also helps in understanding the dynamics of life and how to handle various situations aptly and intelligently.

    Workshops by school counsellor on a wide range of topics like exam stress, depression, teenage, anti-bullying, teamwork, empathy etc.

    Smart classrooms which help in delivering the concept in varied ways to enhance the understanding of Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic learners.

    A range of extra-curricular activities like Hatha Yoga, Vedic Maths, cricket, kalakshetra, classical dance etc. 

    Clubs to hone the skills of students in various fields namely science, maths, public speaking, GK, dance, music and sports.

    Youth Leadership Programmes (YLP) sessions by TOASTMASTERS which helps students becoming excellent orators.

    Participation in External examinations, inter-school competitions.

    Community services and charity drives on various occasions like Ramadan, Think Pink, Labour Day etc. to imbibe the moral values.

The school has introduced latest Digital Campus software. Each student and parent is provided with individual login ID and Password to enable them to interact and share information with the faculties. Parents are able to monitor the progress of their ward using the new software.

All key areas including classrooms are equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure safety and security of students. Students are provided with RFID badges which enable parents to know about the arrival and departure of their students at ease.
