Ali Al Aradi elected as head of IPU Rights Committee
Manama : The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Al Aradi was yesterday elected as the Head of the Human Rights Committee in the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The House of Representatives’ General Secretariat said in a statement issued here yesterday that Al Aradi’s election comes to emphasise the parliamentary trust the Kingdom of Bahrain has gained throughout the years and the skills and efficiency of MP Al Aradi.
“This international parliamentary achievement comes as a result of the endless support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the legislative authority in the Kingdom,” the statement read.
On his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla congratulated Al Aradi saying, “This international achievement is added to the parliamentary achievements accomplished by the House of Representatives in obtaining many positions of leadership and high positions in Arab and regional associations and parliaments, as well as initiatives and active contributions in parliamentary meetings and conferences, all of which confirm the prestigious position reached by the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain in parliamentary forums.”
