HM King’s directives hailed by Parliament
Manama : Parliamentarians yesterday extended profound thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for cancelling fee hikes in private schools. HM the King set aside the decision to hike fees until the joint executive-legislative committee completes its work, and until the National Audit Office makes sure that the process is in line with the laws and criteria in force in the Kingdom.
The Directive also cancelled an Education Ministry’s edict to ensure that remuneration in high performing schools are defrayed from other resources and not borne by parents.
