Mumtalakat wins CIO 100 award
Manama : Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), the sovereign wealth fund of the Kingdom of Bahrain, yesterday, won the Computer News Middle East’s (CNME) CIO 100 Award.
The award recognises organisations whose application of forward-thinking technology strategies has advanced their digital transformation.
The Mumtalakat Information Technology department was selected by the CNME editorial team for their innovative Edamah Oracle Programme, which was executed on behalf of Mumtalakat’s real estate arm, Edamah. The programme implemented a full-fledged ERP solution which integrated 10 years of data from various independent silo systems onto a single functioning system.
The winners were judged on excellence in Technology Innovation, the organisation’s creativity in applying IT to business, and Business Value Delivery, the impact that the initiative has had on the business of the organisation.
Receiving the award in a ceremony at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, Head of Information Technology at Mumtalakat, Mohamed Sater said, “The work that the team has executed throughout 2017 both internally and in support of some of our subsidiaries was substantial and innovative, and it is greatly rewarding for the team’s efforts to be recognised at such a prestigious event.”
Mahmood H. Alkooheji, CEO of Mumtalakat, added, “This award serves as a testament to our commitment to raising the bar when it comes to excelling in business, and to the full support that Mumtalakat provides for our portfolio companies.”
CNME is part of Tawahul Tech, a branch of CPI Media Group in Dubai. They cover stories on the region’s IT channel industry, cybersecurity and enterprise technology.
