BIHR-HTMi represents Bahrain in YCO 2018
Manama : Bahrain Institute of Hospitality and Retail BIHR – HTMi said it is representing Bahrain in the International Young Chef Olympiad (YCO) being held in New Delhi from 28th January to 2nd of February 2018.
The competition organised by IIHM India aims to create an international platform for the interaction of young professional culinary talents and to create camaraderie and goodwill among nations.
This year’s BIHR – HTMi YCO participation is completely sponsored by Dadabai Holding, Hatim Dadabai, Managing Director. “This opportunity is another brilliant leap in providing a sustainable and quality education with international standards in the pursuit of supporting and motivating the Bahrainis to meet the growing needs of the hospitality sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Hatim Dadabai.
Mariam Isa Ebrahim Al Doseri, a Bahraini national, enrolled in the Swiss Diploma Programme, International Hotel and Tourism Management Institute (HTMi) under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Labor and Tamkeen, will kick start her journey along with her coach to top notch the season 4 of the world’s biggest international culinary competition among 80 other young student chefs from across the globe.
Ali Sulaibeekh, BIHR – HTMi Director, commented in an event during the visit of Tamkeen and MOL in the campus earlier this month that “BIHR – HTMi is committed in providing quality education that places Bahrainis into a rewarding and promising career in the hospitality industry”.
Commenting on the Olympiad, Nigel Viegas, Executive Director, BIHR – HTMi said that the event will help students gain international exposure and develop pro-actively which would help Bahrainis to meet the international standards in the hospitality sector.
Tamkeen and the Ministry of Labor and Social Development are the pillars of BIHR – HTMi, (DADABAI Holding) in promoting Bahrain as the newest tourism hub in the GCC Region.
