200 couples to take part in 11th AHCCS mass wedding

Manama : Al Hamala Cultural and Charitable Society (AHCCS) will organise its 11th mass wedding party at Al-Tadhamun Sports Club in Hamala Village on March 2.  Two hundred couples from different parts of the Kingdom will take part in the mass wedding. 

The programme is held under the patronage of Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, with the cooperation of Bahrain Media Team and Future Leaders Team. A programme will also be held from Feb 17 to 22 to raise awareness on marital issues. Experts from Bahrain and Gulf countries will participate in the programme.

As family remains the cornerstone of shaping communities and due to the increase in divorce rate, the AHCCS has urged the couples to attend the programme of lectures and workshops entitles “Marriage License”, aimed at promoting a healthy marital relationship,” said Habib Mubarak, Head of the AHCCS.  

Mubarak expressed his gratitude to Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan for his patronage of the mass marriage programme. “The AHCCS social committee will support the couples after the marriage and ensure their financial and psychological stability in an attempt to secure a successful married life,” Mubarak said. Mubarak expressed thanks to the Society’s honorary president, Salman bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau, and to all national figures for their unlimited support.“We call for all generous hands to contribute to the success of the project either by direct support or by donating generously to the society,” Mubarak added.
