BCCI to form panel to deal with appeals
Manama : Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Khalid Al Moayed has issued an order yesterday to form an appeal committee to look into the decisions of the elections committee for the 29th session for the board of directors of the BCCI.
The appeal committee is headed by Sultan Nasser Al Suwaidi, Assistant Counselor and Acting Director of the Directorate of Legislation and the official newsletter of the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission, with the following four members:
1. Ali Abdulnabi Marhoon, Director of the Directorate of Companies Control at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce;
2. Ahmed Hussain Abdulrahman, Chief Operations Officer and Acting Chief Registrar at Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution;
3. Rabab Abdulnabi Al Oraidh, Lawyer, member of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
4. And Dr. Abdulrahman Rashed Al Khashram, member of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The appeal committee is responsible for receiving grievances submitted by candidates who did not win the elections and taking actions in accordance to order no. (156) for the year 2013. In this regard, Al Moayed reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to ensuring a just, transparent, and smooth elections, and expressed confidence in everybody’s cooperation throughout the elections process.
