PM assures ‘full-fledged’ support to local industry
Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday assured “Full-fledged” support to Bahrain’s industrial sector reminding that “Great nations are remembered for their industries, and for what they have done for the entire humanity.”
“In Bahrain, we are proud of what has been achieved at the level of the industrial sector, and we seek to achieve more,” said HRH the Premier, while patronising the opening ceremony of the Gulf Industry Fair 2018 being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
HRH the Premier told the conference that the government is keen on supporting all activities “particularly that is based on innovation and modern technology by providing necessary infrastructure, energy resources and qualified Bahraini workforce”.
HRH PM also expressed his confidence in the ability of the Bahraini and GCC companies. “Bahrain’s national industry products are capable of competing at international markets,” said Prince Khalid pointing out the need to have proper “marketing and promotional” campaigns.
This, according to HRH the Premier, could be achieved by organising “specialised exhibition” which would serve in “strengthening consumers’ confidence” in the Bahraini and GCC products.
The Premier also highlighted giving top priority to industry and diversification efforts which he said, “forms the basis of Robust economies”.
Describing local industries as the pillars of the national economy, HRH the Premier also affirmed government’s keenness to integrate economic sectors to ensure its sustainability.
