Kingdom, UNIDO join hands to promote renewable energy
Manama : Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulrahman Mirza yesterday received United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) head of the Investment Promotion Programme Dr. Hashim Hussein and several officials.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation between UNIDO and the Sustainable Energy Unit in all programmes related to promoting the use of renewable energy in homes and establishments and to achieve national goals for energy efficiency and renewable energy.
Dr. Hussein expressed the organization’s readiness to provide training programmes for those wishing to establish small projects in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
The visitors thanked the minister and officials for the welcome and the hospitality and for the minister’s efforts to strengthen relations between the two sides.
