Southern Governorate to launch charitable event
Manama : Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, has affirmed that the Southern Governorate will carry on its constructive strategy aiming to ensure the interests of the local citizens through a series of initiatives and events with humanitarian and charitable dimensions.
In this context, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali pointed out that the Southern Governorate will launch a charitable event, named the “Barahat Al-Khair” from February 23 to March 3.
The proceeds of the event, aiming to involve owners of small and emerging enterprises, as well as prominent commercial outlets in charitable work, will benefit the Bahrain Cancer Society, the governor said, stressing the importance of launching similar activities and events that foster the values of good, volunteerism and solidarity among individuals and civil society organisations.
The event will be held on a weekly basis on Fridays and Saturdays from 04:00 pm to 09:00 pm at the Royal University for Women.
