Mock fire drill held in Bahrain
Manama : The Civil Defence servicemen yesterday carried out a successful mock fire drill in the area of Juffair. The firefighters who took part in the exercise were trained on extinguishing hotel blaze, said the Civil Defence director-general.
The drill was aimed at assessing the building safety systems as well as civil defence response and readiness to conduct firefighting operations at high-rise buildings.
A series of drills will be conducted countrywide, as part of a pre-emptive plan to deal with emergencies, high-rise building safety measures and evacuation operations.
