Food Fest a big hit
Manama : Bahrain Food Festival has attracted more than 80,000 visitors since it opened to the public on February 22nd, Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA) announced yesterday.
The festival, now in its third edition, will run until 10th March 2018, serves as a platform for participating Bahraini businesses to showcase their concepts.
More than 70 outlets are participating in this years’ festival including local businesses, restaurants, cafes, nutrition, culinary equipment and much more. In addition, the Festival offers visitors varied cuisines including Middle Eastern, Western, Asian, Indian, Organic, and Healthy.
“We are delighted to see so many promising local ventures in the food sector. The festival provides an ideal platform for local talents to showcase their concepts. BTEA will continue to provide the necessary support for the development of such projects in Bahrain, further strengthening the Kingdom’s position among other countries in the region,” said the Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa.
The Bahrain Food Festival also offers its visitors of all ages the opportunity to enjoy family entertainment including live cooking shows, musical shows and other fun activities.
Hosting this event comes as part of BTEA’s long-term strategy to further develop the Kingdom’s tourism sector on a regional and international level under the slogan ‘Ours.Yours.’, which contributes towards the Kingdom’s economy and the Economic Vision 2030.
