Art lovers hold meeting to save Al Riwaq art space
Manama : Artists, art lovers and art enthusiasts gathered at Al Riwaq yesterday to discuss the next step to save the art space.
“A discussion was held yesterday to see what steps have to be taken to save the art space,” said Maysam al Nasser, an artist.
“An art exhibition will be held in the last ten days of this month. An open interactive discussion session will be held during the expo. The expo will be open to all artists,” he said.
A campaign is going on by aspiring artists and art lovers to save the local art space in Adliya which is being vacated to make way for new restaurant.
The campaign #protectalriwaq had taken social media by storm to save the Al Riwaq Art Space in Adliya which was being closed down for a new restaurant. Wherein a meeting was held yesterday in order to discuss the next step for the art space
Maysam al Nasser an artist told DT News, “A discussion was held yesterday to see what is next for the art space or what steps have to be taken.”
