SICO appoints new chiefs
Manama : SICO Bsc., a leading regional asset manager, broker and investment bank (licensed as a conventional whole sale bank by the CBB), announced the appointment of Fadhel Makhlooq as Chief Capital Markets Officer, a newly created role in which Fadhel will be developing and managing the capital market business for SICO which encompasses brokerage, sell side research and treasury.
SICO also announced the promotion of Mariam Isa to Head of Brokerage. Mariam will be responsible for building on the success of SICO’s brokerage business. SICO has been the leading broker on the Bahrain Bourse since 1999, specialising in serving institutional and retail clients in trading across asset classes, including execution, clearing and settlement.
Commenting on the new appointments, Najla Al Shirawi, Chief Executive Officer, SICO said: “Fadhel has been with SICO for over 14 years and enjoys well-proven professional skills, high-level qualifications, and extensive experience and market insight needed to develop, build and manage SICO’s growing Capital Markets
business.“
