MMA Community celebrates the Birthday of Sangiao

Manama : Mixed Martial Arts community around the world celebrated the birthday of Mark Sangiao who is widely recognised as one amongst Asia’s top MMA coaches. 

Sangiao was an athlete prior to becoming a head coach at the famous Team Lakay from Philippines. 

Team Lakay was instrumental in training top athletes from Philippines who compete in top Mixed Martial Arts promotions around the world including Brave Combat Federation. 

He is also the mentor of the current Bantamweight champion of Brave Combat Federation, Stephen Loman. While completing his Master’s degree at the University of Cordilleras, he taught at the school’s Criminology department in 2004. 

“Kingdom of Bahrain is focused upon developing the sport of mixed martial arts into a path that drives holistic development of the youth alongside inculcating a healthy lifestyle. Mark Sangiao had visited the Kingdom of Bahrain in multiple occasions and his life and works are inspiring and honourable as it touches the life of youth. Kingdom of Bahrain has a huge expatriate community from Philippines and the contribution from Coach Mark Sangiao towards the society is inspiring example of social commitment as well as it is a bond that connects communities through the ethics and values beyond the sport of mixed martial arts. On behalf of Brave Combat Federation, I would like to wish him a very happy birthday,” said Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation.
