ISIS gets major support from Iran, says MP
Comments came at an international conference held in Rome

Vice Chairman of Defence and Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament Jamal Buhassan claimed that “Iran is the major supporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).”
He was speaking at a conference on Terrorism and Human Rights (July 26 – July 28) held at Rome, Italy, in which high-level delegates including Prime Ministers, Ministers, MPs and senators from America, UK, European Union, Arab and Africa took part. He was the main speaker from the whole Gulf region.
Speaking to DT News from Istanbul, Turkey where he had stopped on transit on his way back from Italy, Buhassan said that Bahrain had clear evidence that Iran was the main player behind ISIS.
He said that the daily expenses of the ISIS are $873 million. “From where are they getting such huge amounts to run their day to day affairs?” queried Buhassan. “Look at their sophisticated modern equipment for warfare. From where are they getting all those weapons?”
He said that it was not possible by any means that merely a group of 5,000 non-military people were holding such vast swathes of areas from Iraq and Syria without any support by some big and strong countries.
Buhassan said there were also other players in the support group, but, currently, Iran was his focal point following its flagrant statements after the Nuclear deal with P5+1 world powers.
“I explained to the world leaders how Iran was infiltrating dangerous people to Bahrain to ruin the peace and stability of our country. Algerian Prime Minister also exposed Iran by his harsh speech,” he added referring to the conference.
