Iran abusing Bahrain’s goodness: Al Saati
Manama
Bahrain has always sent good wishes to the Iranian government, but Khamenei regime always reciprocated it with arms and explosives, said former MP Ahmed Al Saati.
Commenting on the deadly explosion that took place in Sitra on Tuesday, Al Saati said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was the first person to congratulate Iranian government after Tehran entered into nuke agreement recently. But Iran has been showing double standards in its attitude, he added.
Even the media houses in the Kingdom are respecting the neighbouring countries while expressing their views. But the Khamenei regime is trying to destabilise Bahrain, known for its peace and tolerance.
Amid all provocations, the people of Bahrain have shown they are loyal to the government and the Royal family, Al Saati said. “They have joined hands with the government for the progress of the nation,” he said.
Meanwhile, he opined that Bahrain has been facing threat from two corners. “Islamic State (IS) has been threatening the country on the one side. On the other, some rebels, brainwashed in Iran are targeting Bahrain. But the peace loving people of Bahrain would defeat all kinds of terrorism on this soil,” he said.
It may be noted the explosives used for Sitra blast were similar to the ones seized a few days ago from smugglers. And the smugglers had earlier admitted to receiving the shipment from Iran.
The former MP said Iranian Revolutionary Guards is definitely behind the attack and that Iran should take the responsibility of controlling it. “We are still hoping that Iran will correct its policies and that it will try to maintain a good relation with its neighbouring countries,” he added.
Al Saati called for the intensification of diplomatic, political and media campaigns abroad to uncover the Iranian plots to support terrorism and destabilise security in Bahrain.
