Girls School named after late HH Shaikha Mooza
Manama : Southern Governor, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, yesterday paid a visit to the Comprehensive Model Girls’ School in Khalifa Town, where he was welcomed by Education Minister, Dr Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi and a number of the Ministry’s officials.
The governor conveyed directives from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to the Education Minister and the Education Ministry’s officials to name the new school as “HH Shaikha Mooza bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive School for Girls”. HH Shaikh Khalifa stressed that the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister, is interested in constructing educational institutions and facilities, given their scientific importance in building solid and cohesive societies, and because of their contributions to creating an educated and highly aware generation that is capable of advancing society and of enhancing the nation’s progress. He asserted that his visit to the new school is in line with the Southern Governorate’s keenness on following up on the service projects ordered by HRH the Prime Minister in the Khalifa Town, in particular, and across the governorate, in general.
The governor praised the efforts exerted by the Education Ministry to implement such an advanced educational project which, he said, will improve the educational services across the Southern Governorate, commending the endeavours being made to enhance education in the governorate.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali said that the naming of the new educational monument after the late HH Shaikha Mooza bint Hamad Al Khalifa is in recognition of her distinguished virtues and contributions to social and charity work.
