NMS –DPS benchmark in PIRLS 2016

ManamaYet another golden feather is added to the cap of NMS-DPS by Anvi Sameer Tiwari by excelling in Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) 2016.

The results were issued by the International Education Association (IEA). The school Principal  Arun Kuumar Sharma, Teacher  Sandhya Menon and student Anvi Sameer Tiwari,   were awarded by the Ministry of Education for the excellent performance in the exam. PIRLS provides internationally comparative data on how well children utilize the opportunities provided by the education systems and the factors that influence students in using these opportunities. It provides internationally comparative data on how well children read by assessing grade 4 students’ reading achievement and offers policy-relevant information for improving teaching and learning.

Anvi, who is currently pursuing her Grade VI, obtained a commendable score of 580 in this respect. The school has been placed in High Level of achievement in PIRLS,2016.

Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, Managing Director  Geetha Pillai and the Principal  Arun Kuumar Sharma thanked the Ministry of Education for their efforts and support. They also congratulated the student and her parents on her success.
