UoB holds “Foundation Programs in Higher Education” conference

Manama : University of Bahrain (UoB) is organising the first international conference Foundation Programs in Higher Education: A Gateway to Success, with the participation of about 150 academic scholars, experts, and practitioners in Bahrain and GCC.  Tamkeen is the institution’s strategic partner for this milestone collaborative effort. 

Commenting on the event, Prof. Riyadh Yousif Hamza, the President of UoB, said that UoB is committed to making the foundation programme a milestone that helps students to actively engage in university as well as fulfil all its requirements, so as to form a sound scientific basis for students. 

The conference, the first of its kind in Bahrain and the MENA region, is set to take place on March 31st and April 1st, 2018, at the ART Rotana, Amwaj Islands, under the patronage of the president of UoB.

The Director of ELC, Dr. Ghada Ahmed Jasim, said that the conference will feature international keynote speakers, along with selected academic scholars presenting the keys to a successful foundation program. 

The unique event is expected to involve 150 participants, including academic scholars, experts and practitioners in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC.
