Minister supports national unity call

Manama : Malicious social media accounts are seeking to derail national development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, said Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hesham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder.

Al-Jowder backed the call of Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Commander of the Royal Guard, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Brigadier His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to take a decisive stand against suspicious accounts.

The Minister stressed the importance of preserving hard-won achievements and stand to any attempt to undermine national cohesion, calling on youth to use the social media in the best interest of the nation and society and benefit from modern technology and its applications. 

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa had said that the malicious attempts on social media websites to sow sedition by disseminating fallacies and rumours require a decisive stand.
