Bid to drive wedges will fail: PM

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa affirmed failure of all attempts to drive wedges among the Bahraini people. He said the Bahraini people will remain united under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa thanks to their awareness of national responsibilities.

HRH the Premier was speaking as he received a number of senior officials, intellectuals, media persons, journalists and citizens at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. He affirmed that Bahrain will remain an oasis of security and stability, describing people’s loyalty to the leadership and awareness of their obligations as the bulwark which has always protected Bahrain from sedition.

HRH the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Bahraini people for their high awareness and allegiance to the nation and leadership. He affirmed support to all efforts made to rally ranks, promote social unity and cohesion and fast-track development. He hailed the role of religious clerics, journalists, media persons and columnists in enlightening the public and raising awareness of the importance of social security. He underscored the government’s support to all efforts aimed at promoting national welfare.

HRH the Premier praised the Bahraini people and their strong stances in thwarting attempts to sow sedition and undermine social security and unity. He pledged zero tolerance of any attempt to tamper with citizens’ security and safety, vowing to deal decisively with that. He also lauded the efforts of journalists, media persons and Imams in confronting strange behaviour and practices aimed at destroying the community and jeopardizing its stability. He commended their enlightening role and keenness to promote positive values and moral principles aimed at fostering tolerance and national unity.
