BPL released fees for all the T20 players
Manama : Bahrain Premier League (BPL) has released the fees for all the players who has played in the first ever edition of the franchise based T20 cricket tournament.
Players and the officials of the team collected their match fees during the Gala Dinner hosted to celebrate the success of the event.
Mohammad Mansoor, President of Bahrain Premier League, handed over the match fees to the players. The first edition of Bahrain Premier League had over 78 players who are residents of Bahrain divided into six teams owned by major business houses in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“This is a defining moment for the growth of sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain. All the resident cricketeers were able to not just showcase their skills but were also able to earn the professional fee which is a rare opportunity in Bahrain. Our efforts are the first step towards bringing the magnitude of the sport of cricket alongside the developments the sport can attract. We are thankful towards His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the patronage towards our initiative. Also the experience brought in to the initiative by Mohammed Shahid and the team at KHK Sports was very valuable for us,” said Mohammed Mansoor.
