World Health Day observed

Manama : The Health Ministry organised yesterday a function marking the World Health Day. The event was held at A’ali shopping complex under the patronage of President of the Supreme Health Council Lt. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in the presence of Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al Saleh. Senior officials and employees from the Health Ministry also attended the celebration marking the World Health Day held this year under the theme “Health for All”.

The Health Minister stressed Bahrain’s progress in implementing its ambitious projects to ensure comprehensive health coverage for all to meet the objectives set by decision makers of the health policies around the world when they approved the sustainable development goals in 2015. She affirmed that the Health Ministry in Bahrain is working side by side with the Supreme Health Council to upgrade the health system and ensure sustainable and comprehensive health coverage for all people in concordance with the best international standards. She pointed out the advanced level of Bahrain’s health system internationally thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

The Health Minister thanked the President of the Supreme Health Council for patronising the event which underlines the importance of health and casts light on key related issues. She also pointed out the significance of the theme of the World Health Day 2018, noting that achieving it is the main goal of the health systems all over the world in order to ensure everybody has access to world-class health services. She also praised partnership between the Health Ministry and the Supreme Health Council and other competent parties in Bahrain, commending the tremendous efforts of the qualified health competencies in Bahrain to attain the setup objectives.
