Family health gets a major boost
Manama : An open family health day was held at Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa Park as part of festivities marking the World Health Day
Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh opened the event, in the presence of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Dr Mariam Al-Hajeri.
Addressing the event, the minister stressed the importance of World Health Day 2018 being held his year under the theme “Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere”.
“The Government has managed to provide wide-ranging and comprehensive health system,” she said, hailing the royal support and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
She also paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for their support and follow-up.
Bapco Deputy Chief Executive for Refining and Marketing, Ebrahim Talib commended the role of the Ministry of Health in supporting all sectors as part of efforts to build a disease-free and healthy society.
The event was organised in partnership with Al-Kindi Hospital Bahrain, Education Plus, Bapco’s Wellbeing 2020 Project team and Health Promotion Unit.
