Pet Expo a big hit
Manama : Adhari Park, on Friday, was buzzing with animal lovers who had come to participate in Bahrain’s first pets exhibition dubbed “Bahrain Pet Expo 2018”.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the expo, held in a fun-filled atmosphere, organised by events management company ‘ROOM 32’ and ‘Weekender’, a leading weekly of Bahrain.
Active participation of members from leading activist groups in the Kingdom made the event more vibrant as they helped participants with tips and advice on raising animals and caring for them.
A panel discussion with leading animal advocates and moderated by Mehr Jan, the Deputy Editor of Weekender, discussed the issues of strays in Bahrain and measures that should be taken to ensure their well being. The discussion also focused on raising awareness on matters related to animals and their health and safety.
Another attraction of the event was a special health-talk on animal hygiene and care, which also provided the first public screening of a documentary about a very special rescue dog Baloo, who amused the visitors, especially the children and the youth.
The venue, which turned out to be a delight for animal lovers, held several fun games and competition for pets. Pet services and Pet care products arranged at the venue attracted many.
