Amir thrills Brazil despite his loss to Silva by stoppage

Manama : Ahmed Amir suffered his first professional loss in his career at Brave Combat Federation to Cleiton Silva from Brazil. Despite Cleiton Silva failed to make weight by a huge margin of three kilograms, Amir accepted the challenge so as not to cancel the bout. He was accompanied by Middle Eastern superstar, Mohammad Fakhreddine who was in the corner of Ahmed Amir.

Amir was inflicted a cut in the early moments of the first round. The cut resulted in bleeding which affected the vision. Despite the injury Amir went toe-toe surprising Silva who had a height and reach advantage apart from being heavier than Amir.

In the finishing moments of the first round, Amir showcased pure resilience and survived the vicious attack unleashed by Cleiton Silva on a grounded Amir. During the second round Silva dominated Amir who was struggling with blood loss. This forced referee to step in and award the bout to Cleiton Silva by way of doctor stoppage.
