Lane closure on Bahrain highways

Manama : Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs & Urban Planning announced closures of avenues on Wali Al Ahd Highway and sub roads in Riffa as part of improvement works. 

According to the statement, Avenue 38 will be fully closed and the traffic will be diverted to Al Ezel Avenue. The move is planned in co-operation with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of the Interior. 

Traffic movement from Wali Al Ahd Highway to Jari Al Shiekh Area will be stopped starting today from 03:00 p.m. to  Saturday at 08:00 a.m.

On Wali Al Ahd Highway, one lane in both directions will be closed while keeping a lane open for traffic flow, effective today at 11:00 p.m. to Sunday at 05:00 a.m.

The Ministry also said it will close a lane on Road 2819 leading to the petrol station and prevent the traffic flow from Wali Al Ahd Highway to  Wadi Alsail Area on Friday from 01:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. All road users are requested to observe and obey the traffic rules for the safety of all.

In another statement, the Ministry said that due to resurfacing works on Al Ghous Highway at Muharraq, right lane for northbound traffic near Sh. Isa bin Salman Causeway Junction will be closed and will stop right turn movement leading to Airport Avenue. 

The closure will be effective during weekend only from Thursday at 11:00 p.m. to Saturday at 05:00 a.m.
