BDF Task Force honoured

Manama : Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa yesterday patronised an honouring ceremony for the BDF Special Operational Task Force / 17 which is taking part in the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen. The celebration was held at the Royal Guard in the presence of BDF Chief of Staff Lt. General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi and Defence Ministry Undersecretary Major General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.

Royal Guard Deputy Commander Brigadier Hamad bin Khalifa Al Nuaimi welcomed, in a speech, the BDF Commander-in-Chief and thanked him for patronising the ceremony.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief presented the medals of appreciation bestowed by His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander, on a number of officers, commissioned officers and members of the Special Operational Task Force/17 in recognition of their dedicated national efforts and major fraternal role in standing by the side of their brethren in defending the right. He lauded their high morale, professionalism and discipline in performing their duties.

The BDF Commander-in-Chief praised the task force personnel for their combat efforts and sacrifice while taking part in the Saudi-led operations, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander. He wished them constant success, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect them and bless them with victory alongside their brethren from the brotherly forces. He also conveyed to them the greetings of HM the King, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

The celebration was attended by General Command Court Director Major General Hassan Mohammed Sa’ad, Maintenance and Technical Supply Director Rear Admiral Anwar Abdullah Al Jowder, Media and Moral Guidance Director Major General Mohammed Qatami Al-Kabisi and senior officers.
