Martins ready for more action

Manama : Lucas Martins became the second Brazilian to hold a championship at Brave Combat Federation. He won the bout against 2016 Brazilian Fighter of the Year, Luan Santiago by TKO.

The back and forth action was settled in the final seconds when Martins went for a takedown which stopped Santiago.

After winning the championship, Martins responded that he is ready to defend the championship.

“It was a unique sensation to win the championship. I’m ready to represent Brave Combat Federation as a world champion. I am ready for whatever bout that Brave Combat Federation organises for me. I was expecting a very tough fight against Santiago and we delivered an awesome fight for the world to remember. He is a fantastic person and a great fighter,” said Martins.

“I feel very honoured to be able to say that I made history for Brave that too with a friend of mine. Brave is one among the top organisations out there right now,” he added.

Martins expressed that he feels honoured that his fight with Santiago was among one of the best-ever inside the Brave cage.

Having recovered from his fight at Brave 11 hosted in Belo Horizonte, Martins is set to make his first title defence.
