Premier receives Saudi press delegation

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a delegation comprising Editors-in-Chief and Managing Directors of Saudi newspapers and the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), led by Culture and Information Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Nasser Al Hajilan and Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al-Shaikh, on the occasion of their visit to Bahrain as guests of honour in Khalifa bin Salman Press Award distribution ceremony. 

HRH Premier lauded openness and development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. HRH Premier stressed Saudi Arabia’s international influential role and ongoing development and economic projects thanks to the Kingdom’s policies as well as the decisiveness and resolve of its leadership. 

HRH Premier said Saudi Arabia is a march of glory spearheaded and made stronger by its successive monarchs. 

HRH Premier also underscored strong fraternal relations between Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing Saudi Arabia as the backbone of the Arab policies. HRH Premier pointed out the international support to it which stands as a proof of the kingdom’s unwavering and powerful stances.

HRH the Prime Minister emphasised the place occupied by Saudi Arabia for all given its stances and support to brotherly and friendly countries, pointing out that attempts to drive wedges will inevitably be doomed to failure as long as the nation is throwing its weight behind the banner of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia out of belief that its power is strength for all. He also lauded Saudi Arabia’s press and its international role with 17 daily newspapers directed at the enemies of the kingdom and the nation. HRH Premier commended the role of the Saudi press in defending Arab and Islamic issues, paying tribute to the GCC competencies in the journalistic field. HRH the Premier directed the columnists in the GCC countries to document their writings in order to highlight the role of the GCC press in promoting the status of the GCC countries worldwide. 

HRH Premier hailed choosing the Saudi press to be the guest of honour at his press award distribution ceremony, which, he said, epitomizes deep-rooted fraternal relations between both countries and peoples. HRH the Premier praised the high professionalism and commitment of the Saudi press to the criteria and ethics of the profession, pointing out the richness of the GCC scene in press and media competencies. He also described strong and growing brotherly ties binding Bahrain and Saudi Arabia as a unique model of fraternal relations.

HRH Prime Minister affirmed that the responsible role played by Saudi Arabia at this crucial phase of the history of the region has thwarted plots targeting security and stability of the Arab and Islamic nations. He asserted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is standing decisively against all challenges threatening the present and future of the peoples in the region.
