Jasra interchange now handles 120,000 vehicles per day
Manama : Phase 2 of Jasra Interchange Project is now open offering commuters enhanced accessibility and a considerable reduction in travel time. The BD 1,637,400 project, now capable of handling 120,000 vehicles per day, is expected to reduce waiting time by 45 per cent, according to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning.
The project also opens a new route from Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway towards the causeway on to the South along Wali Al Ahad Highway towards Hamala and Dhala’a.
Another addition is a roundabout to connect Mazari Avenue to Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway. Now, traffic coming from Hamala and Jasra will be able to enter Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway and head towards Manama without using the causeway.
The roundabout allows access to Hamala and Jasra from King Fahad Causeway, without the need to use the interchange.
