“I want to continue my life without him”, she said to the court

The High Jaffari Sharia Court has granted divorce to a Bahrain woman, whose hubby left the country ten years ago, leaving her in the lurch with their children. According to the woman, her husband disconnected all ties with her and children after going out of the country and she even doesn’t know about his whereabouts. The situation forced the woman to work as a cleaner to feed her children in the absence of their father. “He left us to face our destiny alone, with no money. That was heartless as I don’t know even where he is living. Until now I couldn’t face my children. I don’t know what to answer when they ask me,” the plaintiff reportedly told the court.  “I want to continue my life without him, and I cannot do it without having the marriage certificate between us cancelled by the court. I want to move on with my life with my children and have a new beginning,” she added. The defendant had earlier approached the court to get a monthly financial support from her husband. The court ruled in her favour, but she didn’t get any penny because the man doesn’t live in Bahrain.
