HRH the Crown Prince meets UK Secretary of State for International Trade

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, this evening received the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for International Trade, Dr. Liam Fox, at Riffa Palace.


During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the longstanding strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, noting the extensive cooperation between both Kingdoms across various sectors.

HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that Bahrain is eager to further expand commercial and trade relations with the United Kingdom, in addition to increasing collaboration between the private sectors in both Kingdoms.

The meeting presented an opportunity to discuss different aspects of trade and economic cooperation between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, as well as potential opportunities to advance the bilateral relationship.

For his part, Dr. Fox expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and extended his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ continued support towards bilateral ties.

His Excellency Mr. Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, also attended the meeting.
