2018 Bahrain Olympics Committee programmes receive green light
The future programme for the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in 2018 was approved at its annual ordinary General Assembly. Some of the most anticipating events on the BOC calendar are the Olympic Day (June 22), the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta (August 18-September 2) and the First International Physical Literacy Conference (September 9-11).
Other events confirmed for the remaining of 2018 are the Second Youth Olympic Games in Argentina (October 6-18), Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly (August 18), Union of Arab National Olympic Committees Conference (November 28-29) and Olympic Park launch (December 2).
Staged at the at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama, the meeting also brought up a group of other subjects, such as the final account for the end-of-the-year financial statements and the auditor’s report for 2017, the proposed budget for 2018, as well as signing a new external auditing company.
The general assembly also had talks on proposals presented by the Bahrain Handball Association and the Bahrain Cycling Association.
