Men and women to play equal role in development of Bahrain
Bahrain is committed to providing equal opportunities for both men and women, said His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa adding that HM the King and HRH Princess Sabeeka’s vision places Bahraini women at the heart of the Kingdom’s development. “Women’s advancement is supported by the Kingdom’s comprehensive development programme, led by HM King Hamad, and the vision of the President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa,” said Prince Salman, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister. Speaking while visiting the Majlises of Al-Haj Sadiq and Al Haj Taqi Al Baharna, Al Mudaifa and Al Rahma, and Faisal Hasan Jawad, Prince Salman highlighted the Kingdom’s long-standing efforts to support Bahraini women, which has helped a range of Bahraini women become role models for women’s advancement. The Kingdom, HRH the Crown Prince said, through its successful policies and programmes aimed at supporting women, has been able to provide equal opportunities for both men and women across various sectors. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the support provided by SCW and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 including its economic development which is built around the three principles of sustainability, competitiveness and fairness. Stressing the importance of preserving Bahrain’s historical identity within the new development and modern architecture, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted that the Kingdom continues to invest in its citizens through education, training and high-value job creation, which enables long-term improvement in citizens’ standard of living. Majlises hosts and guests expressed their gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince’s visit and his support to Bahrain’s citizens.
