eLearning system for Royal Academy of Police launched by Interior Minister

Interior Minister yesterday launched an e-learning system for RAP that links all academic departments. The system, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, said was designed based on the experiences of prestigious international universities and academies. This came as Shaikh Rashid, also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), chaired here yesterday RAP’s board meeting.  Chief of Public Security and Chairman of RAP Scientific Council, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan, was also present. Speaking on the occasion, the minister stressed the importance of enhancing skills of police personnel to meet modern technology and the changes in security challenges.  He also directed to focus on scientific research, especially in topics related to social security and human rights in all programmes. Among other decision, the meeting approved recommendations of the RAP Scientific Council and the sixweek advanced security course for officers. The meeting also reviewed the education and training progress during the academic year 2017-2018.
