Bahraini community is proud of its solidarity that arise from the true teachings of Islam, said Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.
This came as Shaikh Hisham attended a mass fast-breaking event at Manama market held within the framework of Ummat Mohammed Programme and supported by Bahrain Islamic Bank. The programme aims to host mega fast breaking events covering 700 people per day throughout the holy month of Ramadan. “Kingdom of Bahrain attaches great importance to the development of cultural and human philanthropy. Charity has a great place in our hearts,” said Shaikh Hisham. “We should be always ready to assist those in need. The act of charity reflects the true teachings of Islam.” Shaikh Hisham added that the culture of giving and volunteering has, of late, become an important indicator for the development of societies. Director of the Department of Social Programmes and Community Affairs Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa along with many other senior governorate officials were present on the occasion.
