Indian Embassy celebrates World Environment Day 2018
India, being the global host for World Environmental Day 2018, the Indian embassy organised an event themed, ' Beat Plastic Pollution', aimed to combat single- use plastic pollution.
The Embassy joined hands with all the Indian Schools in Bahrain to spread awareness among children about the day and the importance of our Mother Earth.
To mark the occasion, the Embassy planted saplings in its premises.The event was attended by various senior government functionaries, representatives of UN offices and members of the Indian community
The Indian Ambassador to Bahrain,Alok Kumar Sinha and Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa spoke on this occasion.
