Growing demand for land in Bahrain, government reduces application approval to 18 days
Just 18 days. The government says it needs only that much time to take a decision on industrial land applications, according to a new circular.
The reduced timeframe, which is termed investor friendly, is in response to growing demand for industrial land across the Kingdom.
The initiative, introduced by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, guarantees that complete applications for industrial land will be assessed within a maximum of 18 working days.
The improvements made last year in the land application process has led to a 69 per cent increase in allocations, the ministry said in a statement adding that it currently operates eight industrial zones totalling over 10 million sqm.
These zones are a dynamic base for hundreds of companies sustaining over 46,000 jobs.
