People all over the Kingdom are looking forward for the World Cup as 4 Arab teams are playing this year

Coffee shops in Bahrain are gearing up to host more customers as the football fever is catching up across the Kingdom. Special themes, decorations and other arrangements have been set up by a number of local cafes and restaurants that will air the matches live for their customers. The quadrennial event takes place in Russia this year and is the most anticipated sports event worldwide. The opening match will be between the host country and Saudi Arabia. Tribune spoke to a number of local coffee shops’ managers to learn more about their preparations and expectations for the biggest football event in the last four years. Ammar Café Manager Faisal Al Bannai said the coffee shop would look and feel different during the one-month event. “The theme, decorations and atmosphere of the café will be completely different in the 2018 Fifa World Cup days,” Mr Al Bannai confirmed.
Because of their incapability of hosting the large numbers of customers expected to visit during the world cup days, some coffee shops installed special tents and cabins with additional seat numbers. One of these cafes is M Café, which have installed a huge tent outside to accommodate the big crowds. The Café’s Manager Majid Al Sarraj said the tent is equipped with a 200 inch projector screen and can accommodate more than 150 people.
