Turkey emerges best Eid destination for Bahrainis
Quite similar to last few years, Turkey has emerged the favourite Eid destination for Bahrainis this Eid season as well, according to travel agencies in the Kingdom. Other countries including Saudi Arabia, Georgia and the UAE have been attracting Bahrainis during the Eid season, but Turkey has been dominating the list for the past three years.
Speaking to Tribune, Spring Travel and Tourism CEO Mohammed Al Hamad said, “Despite political instability in Turkey, the country remains on top of the most preferred destinations for tourists from here as well as other GCC states.” Mr Al Hamad also said that European destinations closely followed Turkey.
“Even though the Schengen visa issuance procedures could be difficult, destinations like Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain remained favourites among Bahrainis,” Mr Al Hamad explained.
Speaking more on the activities of the agency, Mr Al Hamad said that around a dozen 45-member groups have left for different destinations during this Eid holidays from their branches in Bahrain and Eastern Saudi Arabia. He added, “We only offer services to families. Our trips are guided by expert Bahraini leaders and trusted local guides in each country we offer.”
