Campaign to eliminate illegal advertising commenced
The Director of technical services of the northern region, engineer lamia residue, confirmed the continuation of the campaign to remove illegal advertisements from various northern regions, and noted that during the current month, the municipality had removed a declaration contrary to peace.
The ongoing campaign will include the remaining regions and legal proceedings will be taken against offenders to reduce this phenomena and correct visual pollution.
The municipality is in the process of restricting the names of all offending institutions in cooperation with relevant service providers.
All businesses, public officials and individuals have been called upon to refrain from placing any advertisements, posters, random signs and billboards or advertising in the streets, buildings and walls.
They are instead encouraged to utilize the available means and channels of advertising permitted by law to promote.
